IP Holding Companies

In certain cases, we have worked with clients and partners to develop IP (Intellectual Property) Holding Companies in key technology areas.  Examples of a few of these IP Holding Companies are provided below:

KnowmTech, LLC is an IP Holding Company founded in 2002 that focuses on nanotechnology-based neural networks and self-learning chip-based hardware.  To date, KnowmTech has received nine U.S. patents covering various aspects of this technology.  The territory encompassed by KnowmTech's patent portfolio includes memory systems, circuits and devices inspired by the biological nervous system.

Front Row Technologies, LLC is an IP Holding Company founded in 2000, and based on the idea of overcoming the limited viewing opportunities available then to audiences at live activities.   “Front Row” captures the technological innovations that now solve the shortcomings previously experienced in the broadcast and receipt of video content from live activities taking place at sports stadiums and entertainment venues.

Regional Partners

Ortiz & Lopez, PLLC is partnering with regional economic development centers in the Southwest to assist in providing intellectual property services to independent inventors and emerging businesses. The TransPecos/El Paso Regional Center of Innovation and Commercialization (TREP RCIC) is an example of one organization supporting the growth of regional high tech entrepreneurs, innovation and technology transfer in the El Paso, Texas region.  We work with organizations such as the RCIC to assist potential clients with their intellectual property issues.
